Bout Of Books Read-A-Thon 10

Bout of Books
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
Yaaayyy! I am so excited. This is starting right after my other challenge this month, AYearAThon, but this one has a start time and for me it is 3pm on the 12th of May. If you want to see what your time would be check it out here. If you want to sign up too click here, if you want to check out the schedule for all the challenges click here.
For this one I will be doing updates and challenge posts daily because I don’t want to miss out on things!

My Goals

  • I think this week is going to be super busy for me because I think I will be starting to train as a ‘chef’ at work when I cannot cook more than toast (its going to suck and take up heaps of my time) and I have my shift at the RSPCA so I am hoping to read two to three of the books that are here. All four or more would be great but I don’t want to over reach.
  • To participate in at least one of the events each day.
  • Comment on at least 2 blogs/vlogs per day.
  • Above all enjoy myself while I do all this

I hope to see you all through the read-a-thon! Be sure to link me to your pages so I can see them. I want to keep up.

Till Next Time…

  1. I wish I could take part in this readathon, I’ve never actually done one. Unfortunatley I’m in work 5/7 days this week so it’d be pretty much redundant for me to even try. Le sigh.

      • oh I thought it was a case of you had to try and spend most of the day itself reading? that’s why I thought I wouldn’t be able to.

      • You spend as much time as humanly possible reading, but there isnt a minimum on how much you have to read or anything. Its just fun to have a go even if you don’t get heaps of free time during the week.

      • Ooh, I might have to add Fangirl to my list of books. I had planned on reading Insurgent but I read Divergent too fast & now I’m up to book 3! Whoopsie! :) thanks for the time converter link. NZ starts Mon 5pm, but I might just stick to my Monday – Sunday :) catch ya on twitter next week!

  2. I’m thinking of joining this but I’m reading a really thick book (1Q84 by Haruki Murakami) at the moment and I don’t think I’ll be finishing it anytime soon. Not even after a week! :D
