Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created over at Broke and the Bookish where every Tuesday, Top Ten things of anything are listed. Todays Top Ten things are:

Top Ten Books I Was Going To Put Down But Didn’t

This one is super hard for me because I don’t generally have this issue. Either I charge through it until its gone, or I just put it down. There isn’t generally a put it down pick it up again phase. So I only could think of 7 books that fit this.

81NoUIhBD5L._SL1500_1. A Game Of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. I am going to read the other books at some point, but I know I will have the same issue as the first one. Epic sized books are hard…

witching-hour2. The Witching Hour by Anne RiceSo hard to get through, but the ending was worth it.

dead-until-dark3. Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris. I put this down multiple times over a year before I finally finished it.

Truth of the Matter4. The Truth of the Matter by Andrew Klavan. I want to put them all down, but I only have one more book left, so I will continue on.

81BzpFtgrtL._SL1500_5. Deadly Lode by Randall Reneau. Just not my cup of tea.

everville_ebook6. The First Pillar by Roy Huff. Told the author I would read it and review it, so I finished it.

passion7. Passion by Lauren Kate. It was the third book in the series, so I pushed through.

  1. I’m looking forward to reading Game of Thrones because well, the books and the TV series are just so popular! I want to know how good the books are, despite their thickness. :)

I haven’t read any of the Sookie Stackhouse books before too but would like to.

  2. I was surprised that I was able to find 10 books I put down only to pick them up again. I can’t imagine reading GoT, it’s almost as daunting as LoTR.
I’ve also had instances where I had to push through a book because I told the author if read and review…not fun. Great list!

    Happy Reading!

  3. For me if I even considering putting down a book I usually do! I totally agree about GoT, big books can be really intimidating! great list =)

  4. Soo true about epic sized books! I was really enjoying Game of Thrones, but I was so put off by how long it is, I had to put it down. Not only that, but the series is massive and it feels like too much of a commitment! Although I’m sure I’m missing out lol. Dead Until Dark, on the other hand, I couldn’t put down!

    Awesome list :)
