Top Ten Favourite Authors
Well, I don’t like this weeks one at all. How on earth am I going to pick? I have many authors who I have only read one book of and they are my favourite ones but I have yet to read anymore or their works. Do they count? BLAH HARD LIST. To try and make the list easier on myself, I am going to list the authors I have read the most of first and then work my way down to the ones I have read the least, but it in no way shows which author is my number one because I don’t think I have one.
1. Ali Yazawa author of Nana.The only work I have read by this author is Nana, but I loved every bit of it and there is lots so that counts right?
2. Matsuri Hino author of Vampire Knight. Though I think I like this series more than Nana (maybe) I have read some other works by this author and I didn’t like them quite as much.
3. Richelle Mead author of Vampire Academy and Bloodlines.Love both of these. Really interested in seeing other works by her and if I like them as much.
4. Marissa Meyer author of The Lunar Chronicles. So so so good. Just amazing. I need more of anything.
5. Suzanne Collins author of The Hunger Games.
6. Veronica Roth author of the Divergent Series.
7. Juliet Marillier author of the Sevenwaters Series. Though I have only read two, I am completely confident that I will like the rest of the series.
8. Emily Gee author of The Cursed Kingdoms. Same as above.
9. Melina Marchetta author of On The Jellicoe Road. I have read two books by this author, one I loved the other not so much, but I keep her here because she wrote my favourite book.
10. Sarah J. Maas author of the Throne of Glass Series. I have only read the one book I can easily guess that I will love all the works. On a side note I am SO excited to meet her at Brisbane Supanova in November.

I think I’m going to have to start reading some Marissa Meyer soon as she’s made so many lists this week! Very jealous that you’re getting to meet the incredible Sarah J Maas. ;) x
You definitely need to catch up with Throne of Glass. The second book is my favorite, so I really hope you enjoy it.
I debated whether or not to put Richelle Mead on my list but decided not to, she was one of the authors that almost made the cut. It was so difficult to narrow it down!

YES!! NANA!!! …I honestly don’t think it’s ever going to be finished. God it’s just so…everything. It is everything. Hold on a second. I have this feeling that Juliet Marillier was not on my list this week…why was she not on my list this week?? I actually don’t like the rest of the Sevenwaters series near as much (I kind of think of it as a trilogy that…stopped being a trilogy). You should totally check out her other books regardless though – The Bridei Chronicles were pretty fantastic! And Melina Marchetta and SJM would both totally have been on my list…except I didn’t allow myself authors who I’ve only read one series from haha
I used to LOVE Nana! Oh my god! So good. I liked Vampire Knight too, so I approve of both of these choices haha. I’ve been meaning to read Juliet Marillier forever! Daughter of the Forest looks sooo good.
I thought about putting Veronica Roth on my list but that last book upset me too much. I really, really need to some of Melina Marchetta’s books, especially Froi/Finnikin. And Sarah J. Maas is on my list too, because Throne of Glass is bae.

I haven’t actually read any of the Vampire Knight manga, but I have seen the anime. Now you got me wanting to go and read it. I haven’t heard of a few of these authors, but I will have to check them out now.
Sarah J Maas almost made my list! Love Veronica Roth and Marissa Meyer too! And Suzanne Collins is on my list as well :) And most of the others I do want to read, sooN! Fabulous list!
