Thursday Tags – Totally Should’ve

This weeks tag is the Totally Should’ve tag, started over on youtube by emmabooks. Its an oldy but a goodie so be sure to check out her original post.

Totally should’ve gotten a sequel

I feel like this is one I would have had a better time answering a few years ago when I didn’t fully appreciate a stand alone book. Sometimes sequels can totally ruin things and stories would have been better off left alone. The only book I could come up with that I would want really another one of would be The Forgotten War by Howard Sargent.

Totally should’ve had a spin off series

So again, this is hard because things that I want to have a spin off already do or have one coming. The Forgotten War again I think would have amazing spin off potential but something else that I think that needs a spin off is. . . Maybe To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. I don’t think I need more of this story in particular but I would love maybe more John Ambrose, or one of the other characters.

An author who totally should write more books

I didn’t expect this tag to be so damn hard. Most of my favourite authors pump out books so I can’t really say them. Again I could use Howard Sargent for this one but I am going to go with Felicia Day. I would love to get another book perhaps about how she juggles her life with a daughter now. I don’t know, I just like most things she does.

A character who totally should’ve ended up with someone else

I don’t think I can actually answer this one. I generally go along with the ships that the authors intended, even if I felt differently at the start of the book or series. A good example Would be I wanted Celena to end up with Dorian in Throne of Glass, and while I don’t mind Rowan now I might really like Dorian with Manon by the end of the series and be fine with them not being together.

Totally should’ve ended differently

Allegiant by Veronica Roth. While I really like one thing that happened in this book, I think the overall plot and why everything was happening wasn’t very thought through and let the trilogy down and should of been taken in a different direction.

Totally should’ve had a movie franchise

Ahhhh why is everything so hard. Most books seem to be movies these days which makes it hard to pick things, that and I don’t want the things to be ruined by them getting a movie either. I think All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven would make a good movie if it was done right.

Totally should’ve had a TV show

While I hate to say it because I don’t want it to be ruined I think A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. The whole series. I know it has been picked up for a movie but that doesn’t seem long enough to capture everything. If they gave it the room it needs I think it would be an awesome series.

Totally should’ve had only one point of view

I literally have nothing for here. Allegiant could almost go here because I didn’t like how four got perspective in the last book but not the others but I get why he did by the end. Other than being bored by character chapters at the start I don’t think I have a book where I just think they should have cut out that perspective.

Totally should have a cover change

Finally an easy one. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. They have the ugliest covers and they did get a change but they were also very boring and ugly. Give them a better cover please and thank you.

Totally should’ve kept the original covers

The first thing that instantly popped into my mind was Across the Universe by Beth Revis. While I didn’t like the book I thought the original covers where beautiful and I just don’t get why they changed them to the ugly things they did.

Totally should’ve stopped at book one

These last few were nice and easy. If I Stay by Gayle Forman. I loved that first book but that second one was so unneeded and ruined the feelings you got from the first book.

And thats it! That was a fun tag and I really enjoyed it, but I am struggling to find new and interesting tags to do so if you have a tag you want me to do let me know! I would love the input.

Till next Time. . .

Thursday Tags – 3 Bookish Things

This weeks tag actually comes from one of my favourite bookstragramers, Paperfury! If you haven’t jumped on the bookstagram train yet I highly recommend you go check her out.

3 Favourite Authors

I agree with Paperfury here, this is a hard question and I am suffering trying to pick authors. I think I need to list authors who I have read more than just a couple of books for, and for the most part of enjoyed their work. It would be better if I liked books or series that revolve around a different story too.

  1. Sarah J. Maas. I have read 10/11 of her currently released books and I have only not liked one of them. She has only written two series thus far but I think she is a pretty safe bet for a favourite author.
  2. Richelle Mead. I am so conflicted putter her on my list but she is the only other author I have read mass amounts by. I loved her VA series, and I for the most part loved her BL spin off, but I have not enjoyed any of her books set outside this world yet. But the two main series take up so many books that I haven’t lost all hope yet.
  3. Victoria Aveyard. Yes she has only release one series and I have yet to do the last book, but as of yet she hasn’t written a dud for me.

3 Weirdest Things Used as a Bookmark

I don’t think I use that weird things as bookmarks because I am scared of hurting my books but we shall see how I go.

  1. Another book.
  2. My phone
  3. A pillow.

3 Series Binged

So many! I like to do all the books at once, so I guess I will just put in ones that are actually a series and not a trilogy or something, and ones that I have read all the books for.

  1. Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. Yes there are going to be double ups on this list this week. I am currently binge reading this series in preparation for the final book!
  2. Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I have binged this on multiple occasions.
  3. Earths Children series by Jean M. Auel. I did take a break for the last book in this series because I had lived in it for so long and there were some really just boring parts in the series, but I am glad I have finished it, even if I may never pick it up again.

And because I can’t help myself I am also going to list three manga series that I have binged.

  1. Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino.
  2. Nana by Ai Yazawa.
  3. Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori.

3 Characters You Love

These lists are just about making readers make horrible choices.

  1. Adrian from Vampire Academy. VA is making a strong show in this tag apparently but I am not going to make that stop me from showing my love for Adrian.
  2. Wanda from The Host. I love her development and overall I think she is a great character.
  3. Rhysand from ACOTAR. Do I really need to go into why I love him?

3 Unpopular Bookish Opinions

So this one was actually harder to do than I thought it was going to be. Apparently I don’t feel like my opinions are that unpopular haha.

  1. With the exception of the third book, I actually liked the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. I remember when it came out it was surrounded by lots of hate.
  2. I don’t use libraries. I used to use them a lot and I still go in and have a look around but I never actually get anything. I didn’t like giving back the books I liked as a kid, but I don’t think that would be a problem now as an adult because I want my books to be in better condition than theirs, but now I think the issue for me would be fitting in going to the library and returning them on time into my schedule. I do want to try Overdrive though.
  3. I am not a library. I do not share books, at anytime. If I don’t want it anymore you can have it, but don’t touch the ones on my shelves.

3 Popular Bookish Opinions

Easy peesy lemon squeezey.

  1. No marking of books at any times. No dog ears, no note taking, no highlighting. Keep a journal for that.
  2. Bookstagram is addictive, and just visually displaying books in a pleasing way is just one of the many good things about books.
  3. ACOMAF is one of the best things ever written.

3 Favourite Book Covers

3 Book Goals for the Year

  1. To be more active on active on my bookish social media, including the blog and bookstragram.
  2. Read more. Pull myself out of this horrible slump that holds me.
  3. Write. Finally sit down and map out the book has been in my head for ages, and start it.

And thats it for this week. I hope you all enjoyed and if you do this tag let me know! I would love to see peoples answers.

Till Next Time. . .

Thursday Tags – Ultimate Book Tag

I googled for a tag to do this week and I came across the Ultimate Book Tag. My googling told me that this particular one was created by Megan on Goodreads and was made for Chapter Chicks YouTube Channel. Its an oldy and a long one but I am very excited to just jump right in.

1. Do you get sick while reading in the car?

At times I do feel a bit ill but for the most part no I don’t get sick while reading in the car. I survived at least 2 hours in the car/bus going back and forth from home to school and back by reading.

2. Which Author’s writing style is completely unique to you & why?

I think I am going to have to go with Leslye Walton who wrote The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. Just the way she presented the story and the overall idea and presentation of it is what made me decide on her.

3. Harry Potter or Twilight Saga? (3 Points to defend your answer)

So I still, even though I have started the first book, to actually read the Harry Potter series. While I don’t think its a master piece anymore, Twilight did make a really big impact on my reading life and I will always be thankful for it.

4. Do you carry a book bag? If so what is in it? (Besides books)

I don’t tend to carry my physical books or my kindle with me anymore since I started getting more into audiobooks. But when I did they would go in my handbag and that generally always has the following in it:

  • Wallet
  • Phone
  • Keys
  • Painkillers
  • A Pen
  • Lipstick
  • Compact Mirror
  • Headphones
  • Shopping Bags
  • And a few other random things that come and go.

5. Do you smell your books?

This is a dumb question because what person who has physical books is going to say no to this one?

6. Books with or without illustrations?

This depends on the age range and the book. I think childrens books require illustrations and anything older doesn’t need them. However, there have been some books in the older ranges who have had an illustration that really brought something to the book. If they are going to have them, they have to bring something. They can’t just be in there for the sake of it.

7. What book did you love while reading, but discovered later it wasn’t quality writing?

The first two series that pop into my head are Twilight and Fallen. While I would say I still like both of the series and might read them again, I can see now that they are not masterful books.

8. Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Please Share

Its not funny, but I used to really struggle to read and spell (something I think related to dyslexia but I was never checked out) and hated every moment of people making me do these things in school. Then one day one of my favourite teachers brought in a program that for every certain amount of pages you read from a book, you got a book. This changed everything for me. I devoured books from this point on.

9. What is the thinnest book on your shelf?

The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling at 105 pages.

10. Thickest book on your shelf?

The Red Queen by Isobelle Carmody at 1108. Over a thousand more pages than my smallest.

11. Do you write as well as you read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?

Yes. But I don’t say this with much confidence. I have dabbled and written a few things, but I am just organising myself to write something for the first time outside of school and I am very excited and hesitant about starting it.

12. When did you get into reading?

I touched on this a little in question 8. I would have been in year 6 I think when this all started to happen.

13. What is your favourite classic book?

Easily Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

14. In school was you best subject Language Arts/English?

Again see question 8. In my early school years it was easily one of my worst subjects. After my love of reading started though it became one of my best subjects next to art.

15. If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated… What would you do?

I would keep it for awhile, then once I felt like it was appropriate to get rid of it, I would pass it onto someone else who wants it or donate it.

16. What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?

Since I haven’t read Harry Potter I can’t say about it, and I have never really found anything to be like the Hunger Games. I don’t like to compare books in this way unless its just unavoidable though.

17. What is a bad habit you always do when blogging?

I procrastinate the entire time I am working on it. I will physically write down a review or idea in a book, but when it comes to actually getting it onto the computer it seems to take me forever. For example yesterday I wrote five book reviews down over the span of the day, but today I have only managed to put together three posts including this one and as of writing this question its already 7:12pm. I have been doing it pretty much the whole day.

18. What is your favorite word?

Oh god… why…. Ummm… dear lord…. Bubbles?

19. Are you a nerd or a geek?

Depends on what subject matter! I think overall I would be more geeky though as I am just a fan of most things and don’t actually do the things.

20. Vampires or Fairies? Why?

If you had of asked me a few years ago the answer would have been Vampires 100%. The poor things have been just stripped and pulled apart in literature now though so I would have to go with Fairies. Not the happy go lucky I am always nice Fairies though. I believe Faeries can be down right nasty, ugly things.

21. Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?

Shapeshifters. I have read very few Angel books I love.

22. Spirits or Werewolves? Why?

Probably Werewolves but I don’t care much either way. I don’t tend to read much paranormal but I love supernatural things.

23. Zombies or Vampires? Why?

Vampires 100% hahaha. Zombies are the most boring subject matter to walk the face of the Earth. They have tried to make them more threatening by making it so they move fast now but they still hold no interest for me.

24. Love Triangle or Forbidden Love?

Forbidden love. That implies that they have things to overcome before they can be together if they actually get to be. I have seen so many bad love triangles.

25. Full on romance or action-packed with love scenes mixed in?

Depends on what I am more in the mood for. Some of my favourite books are ones where the love is just a side note to the story and enhances the main point, rather than it being the main point itself. I do however, really love a good romance novel.

And now we have come to the end! If you do this tag let me know so I can have a look at your answers! I hope you enjoyed it as much as me, this was a really interesting tag to do.

Till Next Time. . .

Thursday Tags – This or That

This weeks tag I found over at Books and Babbles with the lovely Ayla! She was tagged by someone who doesn’t write in English so I stopped looking for the original post at that point. I wasn’t tagged but I shall tag anyone who wants to do the tag because that’s mostly how I come across the tags I do. Its just for the funs. Moving on~

1. Audiobook or Text Book?

This one feels hard for me right now because I much prefer text. I love the feel, the smell, and displaying all my pretties. But in terms of what I am actually reading at the moment its pretty much solely audiobooks at the moment due to the amount of time I spend in my car and being unable to really settle myself enough to sit and read a physical book. I hope to change this soon though.

2. Paperback or Hardback?

Hardback! The spines are so much safer and they are generally more likely to be the same size and fit more evenly upon my shelves. They are super hard to read when they are like 400+ pages though.

3. Fiction or Non Fiction?

Fiction for sure, though I am starting to appreciate some autobiographies.

4. Harry Potter or Twilight?

Twilight. DON’T THROW THINGS AT ME. I have to answer Twilight as I have not read Harry Potter but I have read Twilight. I am currently making my way through the first HP book!

5. Bookshop or Online?

I love the experience of going into the bookshop and finding something really good randomly, but I have to go with online. In Australia the bookstores don’t tend to have hardbacks and that’s what I want the book to be in most the time so I have to go online to get them. They are also sadly cheaper there online because even our paperbacks are bloody expensive.

6. Standalone or Trilogy?

I think I have to go with standalone. You can easily make one book bloody amazing and while I may want more but I can be happy with what I got. I may get more with a trilogy but quite often the last book is a let down or the story goes on too long or there is something that puts a damper on the whole story.

7. Sweet and Short or Heavy and Long?

Oh god this is so hard. How long and heavy are we talking? Are we talking GoT heavy and long? Because then I would definitely go with sweet and short. But then I don’t really like novellas. Hmmmm. . .  Short and sweet then. Why are you doing this to me?

8. Cosy Read or Reading in the Sun?

When I enter the sun I turn into a tomato that has been grilled so I must go with cosy read! I want to be in bed and under a blanket with my cat for maximum cosy.

9. Hot Chocolate or Coffee?

Hot chocolate! Coffee makes me vomit :D

Till Next Time. . .

Thursday Tags – Reading Habits

The account that started this tag seems to have been deleted so I will link you to a blogger I have found who has done the tag, DreamlandBookBlog. I like the way she has done it.

Reading Habits

1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

If I am not listening to an audiobook, which is generally done on a walk or while I cook or sitting outside so my cat gets some outside time, I read all books in bed.

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?

Bookmark! I have so many its fun to pick out a new one for each book.

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?

I can just stop reading if I must but I do not really like to. I prefer to end at the end of a page or at the end of a chapter.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?

I drink and take eating breaks but nothing that will make my hands dirty and if I am feeling extra paranoid I was my hands before I start reading again.

5. Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

I cannot do TV while I read at all. I used to pretend that I could but I have realised that I was just fooling myself. Sometimes I think I may be fooling myself about music as well, because if its a really good song I tend to follow along with the words rather than reading but its much better than TV.

6. One book at a time or several at once?

I prefer to do one book at a time, but if I am not feeling a book I will sometimes pick something else up but I quite often don’t pick it back up later. I can have an audiobook going at the same time as a normal book though because I spend loads of time in my car.

7. Reading at home or everywhere?

Audiobooks here there and everywhere. I find it harder to read physical books out in the world but that’s because people don’t seem to want to let me read. Apparently reading dates aren’t appealing to anyone else.

8. Reading out lout or silently in your head?

Silent, except for the random outburst of laughter or horror.

9. Do you read ahead or even skip pages?

I used to read the very last sentence in a book before I started it but that’s a habit I have tried to break.

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

New! Perfection upon the shelf!

11. Do you write in your books?

Get out.

12. When do you find yourself reading? Morning, afternoon, evening, whenever you get the chance or all the time?

I mostly find myself only doing audiobooks these days and they are an all the time kind of thing.

13. What is your best setting to read in?

Comfort, good lighting, cosy and warm and generally in silence.

14. What do you do first – Read or Watch?

I try my hardest to read first but that doesn’t always happen.

15. What form do you prefer? Audiobook, E-book or physical book?

Physical is king. The smell and the feel and to be able to gloriously display my pretties, but audiobooks have saved my sanity for all the time I spend driving.

16. Do you have a unique habit when you read?

No I’m not that interesting when I read. Maybe that’s why people don’t want to have reading dates.

17. Do book series have to match?

Yes. It kills me when they don’t. Bookshelves are to look perfect as can be.

Thursday Tags – Inside Out Book Tag

thursdaytags

This book tag was started by Kristina Horner and its based off the movie Inside Out. Its pretty simple, just put a book along with each one of the emotions represented in the movie! Lets get started:

1377087942onthejellicoeroadcoverJoy – Which book brings you the most joy?

Would it even be a list if I didn’t sneak On The Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta onto it? While this book made me feel a lot more things than just joy, it was actually pretty depressing, but the fact I have it in my life brings me joy so I give this spot to it.

Mockingjay_novelSadness – Which book made you cry the hardest?

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. This one surpassed tears and just left me a hollow mess just standing in the shower trying to wash away the whatever this book did to me.

everything-i-never-told-you-original-imae2ffkwzr5r57xAnger – What book pissed you off?

Hands down this spot goes to Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. People say that its great because the characters are flawed and they are human, but these people had no good qualities. Why the hell would I want to read about people like that? You can be real but still have something good about them. ANYTHING.

Ava-lavender_march.pngFear – What book scared you more than anything?

The Strange and Beautiful Sorrorws of Ava Lavender. I loved this book, and it is not a horror, but despite the fact I knew where it was going I was so afraid to get there to the point I could only read the book 20 pages at a time and had to keep putting it down.

americangods_visual_05Disgust – What book grossed you out the most?

I don’t really get grossed out by books that much, so I think I am going to have to go with American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It wasn’t so much ‘gross’ but I was a bit disturbed by some of the things in this book to start with like a man being absorbed up a woman’s vagina until I got used to random things like that.

Thursday Tags – Totally Should’ve

thursdaytags

Welcome to another Thursday Tags. This weeks tag was created by the wonderful Emma of emmabooks.

Totally Should’ve Book Tag

1. Totally should’ve gotten a sequel

I am not going to touch this because good things should be left alone. We all know things that have been ruined because they get dragged out,

2. Totally should’ve had a spin off series

I know I have answered this before, but I can’t for the life of me think of one…

3. An author who totally should write more books

Leslye Walton who wrote The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. That book was amazing. Please write more.

4. A character who totally should’ve ended up with someone else

Nana K from Nana by Ai Yazawa. I had a rant about this last week.

5. Totally should’ve ended differently

Allegiant by Veronica Roth. The whole direction in which the plot went should be changed. The deaths can still be the same, but like the big big thing needs to go.

6. Totally should’ve had a movie franchise

Not franchise by I think I would like All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven would be a good movie.

7. Totally should’ve had a TV show

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I don’t really need to go into why I don’t think.

8. Totally should’ve had only one point of view

I don’t think I can of a book or series that would have been better with just the one point of view.

9. Totally should have a cover change

Any VA or Bloodlines books by Richelle Mead. I know VA got a cover change but they still weren’t any good.

10. Totally should’ve kept the original covers

Across the Universe by Beth Revis. Even though I didn’t like it this series looked stunning until they changed the covers.

11. Totally should’ve stopped at book one

If I Stay by Gayle Forman. Where She Went sort of ruined it for me (even though I liked it) I try to think of it as a separate thing altogether.

Thursday Tags – 25 Bookish Facts About Me

thursdaytags

With the changes and more content I am trying to add to my blog I have decided that I must have more Tags! I love watching and reading them on other peoples channels/blogs so why not? So without further adieu, welcome to Thursday Tags <3

Sadly, the original video for this tag has been taken down so I cannot link you back to its parent D: This weeks topic is:

25 Bookish Facts About Me

hobbit1. The first serious book that was ever read to me as a child was The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien. This started the love of reading.

2. I do pretty much all my reading laying down in bed. I find sitting in a chair gets uncomfortable quite quickly.

3. I often loose feeling in my left hand (my main book holding hand) while reading.

4. I seem to buy more books when I am in a reading slump or have to take a break from reading for awhile.

5. Picking an edition of a series/book can sometimes cause me serious stress. I want them to match, I want any future things that relate to match. Do I want to get the hardbacks or will the paperback do?

1377087942onthejellicoeroadcover6. My favourite book of all time is On The Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta, but I am not really able to sum up enough words to tell people about it in day to day life.

7. I really enjoy reading graphic novels and manga, but feel guilty when I do and add them to my goodreads reading goal challenge.

8. I am dyslexic and it took me a super long time, I think it was year 3 or even 4, before I could read with any form of confidence. I still can’t spell haha.

9. After getting over my dyslexic stress, the series that got me into reading was the Deltora Quest series by Emily Rodda. I have been thinking about doing them again to re-live that feeling I got when I flew through them.

10. I still have not read Harry Potter, despite owning a box set and the first illustrated book.

WP_20160229_00111. I don’t tend to read a lot of Science Fiction books. I find I look down on the idea of them but then the majority of the ones I have read I really enjoy.

12. I don’t like getting books from second hand stores or Book Outlet because I like my books to look perfect these days, and the cracked spines or the lines on the pages that are found on most Book Outlet books really bothers me.

13. My go to place to buy books is the Book Depository. But Australia is looking to add tax to all things brought in from overseas to try and make people buy from within, and this will seriously mess with my book buying.

14. I only buy books from a physical store like QBD if it is a series on super sale, or if its a book I don’t think I will care too much about because they barely ever sell hardcovers.

15. I judge books by their covers all the time. If there is a book I like the sound of and it doesn’t have a nice cover, I will put off buying it over prettier ones. Specially if its a series.

bookcase 216. I constantly get up and touch the books on my bookcase.

17. I smell my books while I read them. Once in a bit, generally after I have put it down or have just bought the book, I take a good ol’ sniff.

18. I love audio books because I spend a great deal of my time in my car at the moment.

19. The books that got me back into reading after a slump between primary school and hight school were the Twilight books.

20. Other than a couple of family members who I talk with sometimes, I have no one in my everyday life like a friend who I can talk about books with. Its is one of my main goals in life to get a reading friend who will just come over to my house, or I go to theirs and we literally just ignore each other and read in the others company. My idea of a perfect date day.

vk wall21. When I am in a reading slump, I love to reread books.

22. I as a general rule do not lend out my books. I barely let people touch my shelves.

23. I have a kindle and I love it, but I prefer physical copies and seem to be able to read them faster.

24. Despite the fact I am turning 24 in August this year, I generally prefer to read YA books. I find them easier to get through than adult books, but I find that the adult books I read are of more quality.

25. I have a wardrobe door made up from Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino manga pages. I plan on doing a Nana by Ai Yazawa one as well.

Thursday Tags – Creatures of the Night

Creatures-of-the-night

This tag was created by the wonderful BookTuber Kat from Katytastic. Since it is so close to Halloween I thought it would be a good thing to do. It pretty much highlights books with all kinds of spooky and supernatural creatures! Check out Kat’s original video here. Lets get started shall we?

1. Vampires

I am going to go with a double one for this because I have read a lot of vampire books. For the YA answer I am choosing Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead. I think we all know how I feel about Adrian. Then for an adult romance books I am picking A Whisper of Eternity by Amanda Ashley. Oh Dominic, I want you.

9781595141743 811IjyDZafL._SL1500_

2. Werewolves

Do I read werewolf books? I feel like I have but I cannot really think of any at all. Cause of that, I will be going with New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.

new moon

3. Zombie

I hate zombies. I bloody hate them. I think they are the most boring thing ever, so there are really no books were zombies are a huge feature other than what people are kind of running away from. So, for this section I will be going with  The Passage by Justin Cronin. They are not really zombies, more of a failed human testing thing taking over the world, but thats the closest thing I got.

The-Passage-2

4. Ghost

A topic I haven’t read much from because I feel like it has huge potential to be horrible, but I guess I should let that go and pick up more paranormal. I pick Ever Near by Melissa MacVicar.

5. Witch/Warlock/Spellcaster

.For this I am going to highlight Magnus from City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. He is an awesome Warlock.

6. Fae/Fairy

I need to read more in this topic. I want to. I am reading a book at the moment where the main character is fae but I don’t like it so much so I am not going to pick it. Instead I am going to pick a book where the fae are kind of a secondary character, and go with Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier. Fae are supposed to be scary and evil in my opinion. Their world is on another level to ours so of course they wouldn’t treat things the same.

7. Demon

I am going to do something a little different from what I have seen before and pick Dark Currents by Jacqueline Carey. I suggest reading past this book because the second one was better, but this world is filled with all kinds lore. Our main character is a hell spawn and then we also have the sexy sexy ghoul Stafan.

8. Angel

This is another topic that I haven’t really read much of so I only have one choice to go with and that is Fallen by Lauren Kate. Daniel is boring but Arriane was awesome.

9. Alien

I haven’t read more than one book with this topic but it doesn’t matter cause this book would win no matter anyway. I pick The Host by Stephenie Meyer. This is one of my all time favourites. I think I need to read it again soon actually.

10. Super-powered Human

So many choices I had for this, fantasy is my thing. After much umming and ahhhing I have chosen to go with The Sentinel Mage by Emily Gee. I chose this one because it gives you different perspectives and different powers. It was also awesome :)
